Kathy has been playing with clay since high school. You may have seen her at a number of Chicago art markets, where she loves to sell her joyful, functional porcelain pieces and chat with fellow pottery enthusiasts.

In late 2024, she took over the Chicago Ceramic Center from her former boss and studio founder, Jay Strommen. She is passionate about teaching, making colorful pots, and building community.

Kathy teaches Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.
