Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you host private events?

Yes! We host events for a minimum of 8 participants, at $75 per participant for a 2.5 hour instructor-guided wheel throwing event. Each participant can keep up to 2 pieces, choose their glaze, and pickup work about a month after the event. Contact us via email to schedule your party!

  • Can I buy a class as a gift?

Yes! We have digital gift cards for one-time classes and for 6-week sessions. Gift cards are only redeemable for their intended class (corresponding to price). Recipients can use their gift card to register for the class that best suits their schedules. Gift cards expire one year after purchase.

  • Which class should I take?

We suggest Beginner Wheel Throwing if you have never touched clay before, or if it has been a few years since you last practiced. Intermediate Wheel Throwing is best suited for individuals who have taken our Beginners class 1-3 times and are proficient enough to reliably throw an even-walled cylinder with a pound of clay.

  • What should I bring or wear for classes?

We have all the tools and materials you need for class. As for clothes, please wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting some clay on! Our recycled stoneware doesn’t stain colored fabric or denim, but may stain white clothing. If you have long hair, bring along a hair tie or clip.

  • Is parking available at the studio?

Yes! We have free courtyard parking and free street parking. Please be mindful of signs and pedestrians.

  • Can I make up a class?

Any missed classes must be made up in the same session, either on a different class night or during open studio. All shelves must be cleared off at the end of each session, unless you are returning the next session. If returning, work needs to have a note clearly indicating that you are returning next session.
